We have produced four of the ten highest grossing Belgian movies in history. In 2007, award winning Ben X and Vermist were respectively the number one and number three highest grossing Belgian movies of the year.
Soeur Sourire (biopic about the Singing Nun) was released Spring 2009 and The K-File (the sequel to the hugely successful Alzheimer Case) premiered December 2009.
Cops (Flikken), Belgium’s longest running police series, had another successful tenth season on public broadcaster VRT (Eén). Cops Maastricht, the co-produced Dutch adaptation, still airs on Dutch public broadcaster Tros.
In Spring 2009 Jes, our first drama production for VTM, was launched, making us the first company to produce drama for all three leading Dutch speaking TV channels in Belgium.
VTM launched David (206 episodes) in it’s popular telenovela slot in access prime. With David, Eyeworks developed and created the first local telenovela on VTM.
The prestigious drama series Old Belgium (Oud België) was successfully launched on VRT (één). Eyeworks started the production of The Monster Decalogue (Het Goddelijke Monster), a high end series depicting the life of a rich industrial family during the politically turbulent nineties, based on the novels of bestseller writer Tom Lanoye to be aired on VRT (één).
