Eyeworks New Zealand is one of the leading production companies in New Zealand, producing entertainment, reality, factual and drama television programs as well as feature films.
Eyeworks New Zealand has a strong international format catalogue including such titles as The Chair (sold to 29 countries), Shock Treatment (which is also a big hit in Belgium and nominated for a Rose D’Or), So You Wannabe a Popstar (nominated for a Rose d’Or, two series successfully aired in The Netherlands), Miss Popularity (aired in 12 territories), Treasure Island (12 series in three countries) and The Ultimate Coyote Ugly Search (three series aired on CMT in the USA).
Both the formats and the ready made programs of these titles are distributed worldwide. In 2007, Eyeworks New Zealand released its first feature film, The Tattooist, and mid-2008 TV One aired the company’s first drama series, Burying Brian, which attracted major international interest in re-versioning or other countries. More drama is in development along with several feature films.
