Stijn loves life and life loves him. He has got his own business, a wonderful daughter and the hottest wife of the Western Hemisphere. There is no need for his Carmen to know that he enjoys the pleasure of being with other women once in a while. He is on top of the world. But then; Breast Cancer. His world falls apart. Carmen and Stijn end up in a rollercoaster of hospital visits, chemo therapy and radiation therapy. But he is there for her. Always. No matter how hard it is.
And then there is Rose. Just like that. She becomes his cancer-free oasis, where he can forget about the cold at home for a while. His life becomes a total chaos, everyone demands his attention, his lover, his daughter, his work, his wife is dying. Stijn has to make a choice. Now.
Stricken (Komt Een Vrouw Bij De Dokter) is a shameless report of a man in the prime of his life facing the terminal illness of his wife. Raw, moving and always with a good dose of humor. At the same time, it is an ode to love.
