The Film & TV Drama department at Eyeworks Sweden opened in 2009. It got off to a flying start when TV4 the same year commissioned 4 episodes of the now hugely successful crime series Maria Wern, featuring the stunning Swedish actress Eva Röse. Maria Wern has received outstanding ratings all over Scandinavia (38 % share in Sweden, 32% in Denmark) and was the timeslot winner when it premiered in Germany with an impressive share of 16.6 % and over 4 million viewers.
Eyeworks Film & TV Drama Sweden is based out of Stockholm, but projects are commissioned by clients from all of Scandinavia. We are currently producing a remake of the award winning feature film Ben X (originally produced by Eyeworks Belgium in 2007) and is also in pre production of 2 new crime series based on the work of best selling Scandinavian novelists. Eyeworks drama platform primarily focus on developing and producing formats covering drama and humor.
