Eyeworks in South America & Southern Europe

eyeworld4kgroup1Eyeworks 4K Group is an impressive part of Eyeworks and is made up of affiliates in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Spain, Portugal and Italy. In these territories Eyeworks is internationally renowned for its creative, innovative and aesthetic approach to creating and producing television shows.

Cuatro Cabezas (4K) was founded in Argentina in 1993 and took the country by storm with Caiga Quien Caiga (CQC), an ironic, controversial comedy news program with a completely new style. The company expanded from there, producing a wide range of television programs, including reality series The Bar, E24, 30 Seconds and Tourist Class, magazines such as El Rayo and Zapping, the investigative journalism program The Team, drama series such as the popular Brothers & Detectives and Women On The Edge, and the absolutely unique program Unwritten History, in which two hosts travel ´back in time´ to experience the highlights of history through reenactments and visual effects.

After starting with a bang, the company, regarded as an incredible success story in South America, has continued to thrive. CEO Diego Guebel and his team are considered to be both reliable production partners for international success formats, as well as creative innovators who dare to test the limits of the TV genre. His entrepeneurship, coupled with the popularity of the company's programs, has made Diego Guebel a household name in Sout America. When asked how he achieved such success, he always gives the same answer: love for the craft, which is a dogma widely supported within the worldwide Eyeworks Group.

The concentration of sharp and innovative minds at Eyeworks 4K is widely recognized, even outside the world of television. Eyeworks has created strong brands around its formats and by doing so, they have opened the door to developing strong links with internationally recognized companies, from Ford to Motorola. Responsible for creating television-based communication solutions for these large corporations, Eyeworks has built cherished partnerships that have grown over many years.

Commercials
Through these realities a new pillar has been succesfully added to the activities. Right now the company is one of the leading producers of commercials for the Hispanic market, having produced literally hundreds of high quality commercials for the largest clients imaginable. The enterpreneurial spirit of the management of Eyeworks 4K fits like a glove within Eyeworks' vision to be a key player in the entertainment industry, with a large, strong foot print in different genres.

Scripted
In several markets a successful jump has been made from producing non-scripted formats to also creating scripted programs. Eyeworks successfully adapted the drama series Brothers & Detectives, originally an Argentine format, into local versions in both Spain and Italy. In addition, Eyeworks Spain brought Maitena, an Argentine comic strip, to life in the daily comedy series Women On The Edge.

Awards
With a strong commitment to an always creative and innovative approach, Eyeworks has earned an increasingly impressive reputation and recognition at an international level, and has received some of the most celebrated prizes in the industry: International Emmys, Rose d'Or, New York Festivals and Martin Fierro, among others.

In addition to creating many award-winning television programs, the company has produced several feature-length films, which have won many prestigious awards at film festivals around the world. After breaking box office records in Argentina, Plata Quemada won the Silver Condor for best screenplay, a Goya Award for best foreign language film and two awards at the Film Festival Of Havana. The movie La Cinaga won the first prize for the screenplay at the Sundance Institute, four awards at the Film Festival Of Havana, and a Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.
