Director and producer Diego Guebel and radio and television host Mario Pergolini were the founders in Argentina. Today, the company is one of the most esteemed TV production companies in the country, highly regarded for its originality, bold content, and unique aesthetics.
It all began in 1993 with Guebel and Pergolini's creation of CQC, which immediately became a smash hit. The duo followed up on their success with the other praised original formats like El Rayo, and Unwritten History and quickly, Eyeworks Argentina (f.k.a. Cuatro Cabezas) gained a prestigious place in the local media and recognition from the networks, advertisers, and the public. Additionally, Eyeworks Argentina is a preferred partner for larger American networks in Latin America, such as Discovery, HBO, TNT and The History Channel.
With successful titles and strong brands, Eyeworks proves it produces programs that can compete with highest international standards. Eyeworks is proud of the fact that CQC receives so much international acclaim, including the attention of the respected Emmy Awards. After being nominated nine times, CQC won the prestigious Emmy Award in the category Non-Scripted Entertainment in 2010, at the gala evening in New York. The work of Eyeworks Argentina also gets attention and respect from the television world in Europe, where its programs have been nominated several times for a Rose d’Or.
